ALTES LOGO Selbstverteidigung für FLINTA*

Self-Defense for FLINTA*

(women, lesbians, inter*, non-binary, trans*, and agender people)

Every first Sunday of the month · 11 a.m.–2 p.m. – this month on July 5

Due to patriarchy and anti-LGBTQ+ attitudes, FLINTA* people experience violence far too often. We want to counter this by creating a space where we can learn together to defend ourselves and to break down and transform our own patterns of victimization. Our long-term goal is to overcome patriarchy, but in the short term, we need certain skills to live more safely in today’s society.

FLINTA* Self-Defense is not a sport. Our sessions involve both physical and mental training to help participants deal with physical violence. We want to learn together how to respond appropriately to threats and attacks and turn our weaknesses into strengths. That is why mental training is an important part of our program.

If you feel overwhelmed, you can of course take a break at any time.

💥 No pressure, no prior knowledge required, no registration – just come by! Please bring long-sleeved sportswear and light sports shoes.

No workshop can do everything, so please note that we are unable to provide a trauma-sensitive space within this framework. Please be mindful of your own needs. If you have any questions, suggestions, or feedback, feel free to contact the facilitators at any time.

💜 To all FLINTA* folks, we look forward to seeing you—solidarity greetings!
